I'm Sabbir Ahmed and a Site Reliability Engineer.
I've been obsessed with computer ever since I was at 4th grade. But due to family conditions I never asked for any personal computer. I learned basic computer usage in local cyber cafe. Fast forward to 2014, parents bought me new computer after getting chance to an Engineering University as a Computer Science student. And from then, I am enjoing buinding stuffs.
After graduating from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) with a bachelor degree of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in hand, I joined software industry to make my all dreams true.
Here's a timeline of what I've been upto
2024
[July - Present] - Acting as a DevOps consultant for a USA based startup. [Part Time]
[June-August] - Setup bastion servers (EC2's), Cloudwatch Alarms, RDS, VPC with private-public subnets in AWS using IaC tool (Terraform).
[March - December] - Setup a full fledge ECS cluster for Production, Staging & Development environment using Terraform in AWS.
[January-Present] - Mentoring a small group of learners who are enthusiastic about software development.
[January - Present] - Co-leading a team of 5 engineers and acted as a bridge between business, product and engineering team.
2023
[July - December] - Co-lead a team of 5 engineers and acted as a bridge between business, product and engineering team.
[July - December] - Acted as a DevOps consultant for a USA based startup [Part Time]
[March - December] - Developed an internal ticketing api service using Golang for user/operational issues came from multiple channels and escaled to specific teams to resolve issue with proper visibility & minimum effort
[January-February] - Implemented Gitlab CI for a golang api project for quick and frictionless delivery
2022
[June - December] - Learned Golang for contributing internal api projects.
[April - December] - Migrated full Merchant Panel from old panel with minimum downtime possible
[January-March] - Implemented Gitlab CI for Web App(Merchant Panel) for frictionless delivery which is using 200K/Day by Courier Merchants.
2021
[December] - Joined Pathao Ltd. (like UBER in Bangladesh) in a full-stack software engineer position
[March - December] - Also, contributed as a full-stack where projects were in Nodejs & Vuejs.
[August - December] - Again, I was so enthusiastic about DevOps, so I enrolled another 4 months long DevOps Bootcamp and apply few good practices in existing projects
[March - July] - That time, I really enjoying DevOps part, so I participated a 4 months long AWS training from an institution
[Janyary - February]- Here, I contributed as a full-stack engineer where I dockerized both frontend and backend project, wrote nginx configurations, CI using github actions.
2020
[October - December] - Worked closely with Project Manager and remote client where I learned about requirement analysis, component break-down, estimations, and helping to make PRDs (Product Requirement Documents). Also, learned DevOps related concepts side by side.
[April - September] - Worked as a full-stack developer where the solution was written on Nodejs & Vuejs. Developed some backend functionalities to reduce pressure on the client-side for a better user experience
[January - Mar] - Gone through an intensive 3 months training on full-stack web development using javascript ecosystem (nodejs, angular) and postgres as database
[January] - Joined Brain Station 23 Ltd. as a fresher from Star Coder Program, 2019 out of 2600 candidates that time
2019
Graduated with a Bachelor of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET)
